Protest : Denigration of Shri Krushna on Cartoon Network

 Appeal to Devout Hindus

Cartoon Network, is the most famous cartoon channel among the children. A serial titled ‘Roll No. 21’ is broadcasted everyday at 1.00 pm. and 8.00 p.m on this channel. In this serial, Shri Krushna has been depicted as a school going student.The serial shows trivialised form of Shri Krushna, thereby denigrating the deity. It will have bad effect on the mind of children. Hence it is duty of all Hindus to protest lawfully against the Cartoon Network channel so that they should immediately stop the denigration of Hindu Deities and they should also render unconditional apology for hurting religious sentiments of Hindus.

Thane (Maharashtra, INDIA) : ‘Cartoon Network’ a channel telecasting programs for children, shows a serial titled ‘Roll No. 21’ everyday at 1.00 pm. and 8.00 p.m. In this serial, Shri Krushna, worshipped by all Hindus, has been depicted as a school going student, modernizing Him and including incidents related to this ‘humanized’ form which is denigration of Shri Krushna. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has, therefore, sent a protest letter to the concerned people.   

In this serial, Shrikrushna has been shown as a student whereas Kansa has been shown as the Principal of school  

Some objectionable parts from the serial ‘Roll No. 21’

1. In this serial, character Chris is shown in blue colour and is always referred to as ‘Nindki dukan’.

2. In one scene, there is competition between Krushna and Kansa of fist-fight. In this scene, Kansa says words like ‘ice cream, sweets, chocolates’ etc. Krushna hears this and gets tempted resulting in losing the fight.

3. In the end of the serial, Narada says over phone, “Hello ‘Dev-loka’, Narada reporting. Owing to Chris, one more day was spent happily in Mathura. Narayan Narayan, over and out.”

4. Once while showing miracle, a feather of peacock comes out of Chris’s head and quivers.
