Sanatan seekers are callously tortured by NIA on suspicion of being related to an accused

Mangaluru (Karnataka) : NIA has continuously started inquiry of few seekers of Sanatan viz. Mr. Vinod Kamat, Umesh Shenai, Shanmugam, Timappa, Uday and Vinay from 5th February in connection with Madgaon bomb blast case. Inquiry has been conducted of Mr. Kamat and Mr. Shenai on number of occasions by going to the ashram; even then, Seturam and Manu, the officers of NIA keep on calling them at any time for inquiry. Under the name of inquiry, NIA is, in fact, oppressing these seekers. On 21st February, these NIA officers called Mr. Vinay and Uday, seekers of Sanatan for inquiry and under the guise of inquiry, they completely disrobed the seekers, pulled their hair and hit and kicked them brutally. NIA’s Seturaman and Manu’s behavior would have put even terrorists and criminals to shame. They sent policemen to the house of these seekers and took away their driving license, voter’s identity card, ‘Adhar’ card, photo album of marriage, ration card and school certificates etc. without giving any receipt or acknowledgement. (In independent India, NIA has been acting in such manner that would put anyone to shame. It is very unfortunate that it is an attack on freedom of citizens in independent India. These officers on the other hand treat Abdul Kasab- 26/11 accused with utmost care and privileges even after there is CCTV footage of him spraying bullets on innocent civilians. – Editor SP)

Illegal method of investigations of NIA officers !

1. Mr. Vinaykumar and Udaykumar’s father was threatened that his sons would be tortured if he did not give information or required papers.

2. They were threatening for obtaining a CD which was not there with Mr. Vinay and Uday. Their father handed over the papers asked by the police due to such threatening.

3. Police threatened to take Vinay and Uday to Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad) by accusing them of being involved in Mudgaon bomb blast after asking them for some information about one of the accused in that case.

4. Although Vinay and Uday were telling the truth, the officers were shouting and accusing them of telling lies. They threatened them that both of them would be taken to Bhagyanagar where police would torture them even more severely. [Anti-Hindu Chidambaram has set up an office of NIA (or is it a torture camp for Hindus?) and two anti-law officers Seturaman and Manu showed with their behavior that why such office has been set up there. – Editor SP]

5. The officers pulled Vinay and Uday’s hair and kicked them brutally.

6. They were not even allowed to go use the restroom for 1-1/2 hours.

7. The officers threatened them that they would go to even their sister’s place, trouble her and destroy her life if two of them did not give information. (Sanatan is making an appeal to activists of Human Rights, Women’s Commissions, legal experts, security officers and intellectuals that under which clause, these officers were threatening to go to a woman’s house totally irrelevant to the case. How can the patrons of Constitution allow such anti-Constitutional acts of Seturam and Manu? – Editor SP)

8. The officers were calling up the residence of Vinay and Uday every now and then and telling their family members that both their children were very much scared. (Seturam and Manu have put even hooligans to shame by doing such things in independent India. – Editor SP) This caused lot of distress to their mother.

9. Officers brutally beat up Vinay and Uday and did not allow them to even go to a doctor. The officers had threatened them that they should not leave their house.

10. Owing to the terror created by the two officers, none of the government or private hospitals were ready to treat them and issue certificate. Seekers had to bear the pain whole day without any treatment.
