K Bell assures to be sensitive on Hindus faith and websites stop selling denigrating Goddess Lakshmi socks after educative protests
A few days ago, Forum for Hindu Awakening (FHA) received an email from a Hindu, who noticed some websites selling K.bell manufactured socks which has Goddess Lakshmi images on them.
FHA published this awakening news recently, seeking Hindus to protest lawfully against the manufacturer and website owners who were selling these products on internet.
Accordingly, Hindu dharmabhimani Prahlad and our volunteers, Srinivas S. from New Jersey wrote to the K bell and website owners to remove the denigrating socks from their websites. In reply they not only got prompt response, the manufacturer appreciated the email for letting them know about the denigration and assured to be sensitive to Hindus religious sentiments in the future. The below websites also removed the socks with Goddess Lakshmi images.
Below sites have removed the products
(“Let us pay gratitude to God for this success! All this happened only because of his grace. It is a good episode teaching us being proactive will yield results against unrighteousness. So we all together continue our peaceful protests against denigration of Dharma and bring success in stopping the denigration.” – FHA Editor.)
The correspondence between the Dharmabhinis and the Sellers is given below.

We were so appreciative to get your note informing us about the Hindu Goddess.
For you information that style is no longer in our line. Based in your email, will we never use her image again on our socks. Again, we appreciate your input and respect all religions tremendously. Ironically that style originated several years ago from a Hindu requesting the image, perhaps not understanding what you have told us.
Again thank you so much for your interest in K. Bell and the information you provided us. Although we no longer carry that style in our current line, we will be sensitive in our future developments!!

I am very upset to see that you were selling pairs of socks with pictures of Goddess Lakshmi printed on them. http://www.tonsofsocks.com/gooffo.html This is nothing but the grave insult of our beloved Hindu Deity Shree Lakshmi. Millions of Hindus revere Goddess Lakshmi for good health, wisdom and prosperity with all devotion. We always place her on altar and offer our prayers with a surrendering attitude, and we never keep her near our feet.
In Hinduism (Sanatan Dharma) God and Goddesses pictures or symbols are considered very sacred and should follow certain norms, some of them are below
Should maintain Sanctity (Wearing socks you are exposing her to all kind of Environment even to restrooms)
Should not be ridiculed (Showing her on our feet by wearing these socks )
Should not be abused (These socks in process of washing are twisted, tumbled, dried with hot air)
If anything considered as sacred treated in above manner is called denigration of Dharma (Hinduism). No one will benefit from this and at same time it is sinful act. I sincerely request you to remove them from the website and send apologies for hurting our religious sentiments.
