We at Forum for Hindu Awakening (FHA) have received several complaints from devout Hindus regarding yoga asanas pictured in a vulgar manner in a Bud Light advertisement on YouTube.
You can view the advertisement at the following link– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcV8WN1YIL4
Upon reviewing the complaints, the FHA team immediately wrote an appeal letter addressed to the Bud Light management team requesting them to remove the objectionable ad from YouTube. In the appeal, FHA explained that the ad is offensive to Hindus and denigrates the traditions of Yoga and tarnished the image of Yoga philosophy and culture. In addition, the appeal also expressed concerns regarding the petty tactics used by the company to boost their sales through this vulgar yoga advertisement.
After lodging a protest with Bud Light, the Forum for Hindu Awakening (FHA) team received a very casual response from the Bud Light management team stating that the Bud Light team did not post the advertisement on YouTube, so they are unable to have it removed.
FHA team replied to Bud Light that – as the owner of this commercial, it should take all the necessary action including writing to YouTube to remove the commercials from all the channels immediately.
Meanwhile, Forum for Hindu Awakening (FHA) team has not received any response from the Bud Light management regarding their action. Consequently, FHA now requests all readers to appeal against this denigration of Yoga peacefully and lawfully by writing an email or calling the numbers below requesting them to remove this advertisement.

We at Forum for Hindu Awakening have received several complaints from devout Hindus regarding depicting yoga in a vulgar form in your advertisements as below –
Forum for Hindu Awakening is a nonprofit organization that strives to awaken society to the unique spiritual science behind Hindu Dharma concepts and practices, to motivate people to live and preserve them, and to facilitate the spiritual progress of humanity. One of the ways we do this is by addressing misrepresentations of Hinduism. For further details please refer to our website http://forumforhinduawakening.org/.
Yoga is an integral part of Hinduism; it brings physical, mental and spiritual upliftment. These days, many people around the world practice Yoga to derive its benefits. It comprises of various moves, breathing exercises and meditation, etc. which immensely benefit physical, mental and spiritual health. However, depicting Yoga in a vulgar way insults Hinduism and the practice of Yoga.
In the current times wherein social media is one of the most preferred mode of communication or marketing of a brand, it is important that it is done without hurting religious sentiments. We have received several complaints from ardent Hindus regarding these advertisements. Your advertisement of products using Yoga amounts to denigration of Hinduism.
One US based company, ‘Om Shanti Clothing’, was selling women’s undergarments on which pictures of Hindu Deities were printed. On receiving an appeal from FHA they understood how their products were hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. The management of the company rendered an apology and withdrew the offending products from the market.
In view of the above we request you to remove the advertisement which is denigrating yoga and Hinduism from YouTube channel immediately.
We hope you will do the needful and revert with the action taken.
