Forum for Hindu Awakening is a nonprofit organization that strives to awaken society to the unique spiritual science underlying Hindu Dharma concepts and practices, to motivate people to live and preserve them, and to facilitate the spiritual progress of humanity. One of the ways we do this is by addressing misrepresentations of Hinduism.
According to spiritual science, the word, touch, form, taste, fragrance and the energy associated with them coexist. Whenever any image of a Deity is used, the divine energy also accompanies it. It helps devotees to obtain the divine or spiritual energy from it. However, when Hindu Deities are used on items like T-shirts and mobile cases as you have done on your products, they are touched with dirty hands, get thrown around, collect dust, sweat, etc. when used and once old eventually turn up in the waste bin. This amounts to denigration and insult of revered Deities, which is hurtful to the religious sentiments of Hindus and insults Hinduism. Deities’ images should be used only in sacred places like Temples and that too only for the purpose of worshiping them, and not on T-shirts or mobile cases.
We understand that the designers of these products are impressed with Deity Shri Ganesh and thus, they have used His image on the products. However, it amounts to denigration despite having intentions of portraying Shri Ganesh.
It has also been noticed that your webpage has Deity Shri Ganesh image which is not according to the spiritual science. Such images emit either unpleasant vibrations or less of the Deity principle. It is important that any Deity’s picture is in accordance with the spiritual science. We request you to visit our page explaining the features of Deity Shri Ganesh according to the spiritual science: http://forumforhinduawakening.org/understanding/glory-of-hindu-dharma/sanatans-sattvik-idol
We had approached a bikini manufacturer in Australia for similar reason and they withdrew their products after realizing the insult it does to Hinduism.
One US based company ‘Om Shanti Clothing’ was selling women’s undergarments on which pictures of Deities were printed. On learning about the matter, the management of the Company has since rendered apology and withdrawn such stock from the market.
Well-known German fashion brand “Front Row Society” headquartered in Berlin withdrew leggings carrying image of Lord Shiva and apologized after upset Hindus protested.
In view of above, we request you to stop advertisement/sale/manufacture of products with Hindu deities’ pictures & remove such links from your shopping portal. Awaiting your prompt action and reply.
