The 2nd annual Hindu Unity day was celebrated by the Indo-American Intellectual Forum at Bharat Sevashram Sangh, New Jersey on 27th October 2013. More than 50 enthusiastic dharmabhimanis (devout Hindus) attended the program. The gathering was addressed by Shri Dadaji Maharaj and supporters of Bharat Sevashram Sangh.
Many Hindu activists from America such as Mr. Narain Kataria, Mr Arish Sahani, Mr. Patanjali Rambrich and others
came forward to share their views.
The main topic was ‘how to save Hinduism’, ‘what are one’s duties as Hindu’. Dharmabhimanis enthusiastically
stated their views about it. One Young man mentioned that the young generation in India is more attracted towards
Western Culture and materialism.
Small Children too participated in Programme by performing on their learning in their Bal-Sanskar Classes
Forum for Hindu awakening (FHA) volunteers Mrs. Saritha Kunigiri and Mrs. Aparna Kotgire put up exhibition of Hindu religious texts and 2014 Hindu Chetana Calendar, which received an overwhelming response. The dharmabhimanis took this opportunity to learn about the Hindu chetana calendar and the books on display.
Mrs. Aparna Kotgire explained about the Hindu Chetana Calendar . She highlighted the salient features of the calendar
as being helpful to the Hindu community to perform the religious rituals as per the correct panchang time and the American date and timings. She shared that the calendar not only has a wealth of information about Hinduism but also has information about prominent Hindu dharma leaders and activists from America and India
The attendees appreciated FHA’s activities and there was very nice positive response. The overall program was very nicely organized by the volunteers.
